Thoughts best served chilled.

Had good food and wine at Da Paolo's et Judie (we highly recommend this restaurant). For dinner, we ordered crabmeat linguini with pink sauce, spinach ravioli with salmon and ricotta cheese, two glasses of sauvignon blanc, and had a platter of home-made gelato and warm chocolate lava cake with orange sauce to top it all off ~ YUM.

And then there was good conversation against a backdrop of dark teak wood in a refurbished shop house all in white, after which we made amaretto sours to unwind with some jazz for the night.

So here's what we concluded after men-y [sic] discussions:

  • There are no good men left on earth i.e. Singapore. If there are, they're already taken.
  • If you're a girl, never tell a guy you like him - no matter what. If you're a guy... well, also never tell a guy you like him.
  • Guys don't have conversations, they only need someone to listen to their egocentric speech, which accounts for the many many sms-es they send, to which you (the girl) have no way of replying without being supcilious or redundant.
  • 30-something year old men should grow up. Having said that, actually, all men should grow up.
  • Guys should know when to back off. It will make life easier for everyone - for the guy who wants attention, for the girl who doesn't want the attention, for the girlfriends to whom the girl complains, and for the jocks the guy chugs with. Seriously, life is too short: move on.
  • Marriage is a serious issue, especially with babies in the picture. So guys, don't let girls pressure you into it. Girls, don't bother pressuring the guy. If he's not 100% in, he ain't never going to be. Like Berger said in Sex and the City: "He's just not that into you."
  • Guys: It's possible that she's just not that into you too. Accept it.
  • To all the lazy-ass bums out there, sit up and take charge or the girl will and you're not going to be seeing much of her after that.
  • Guys , enough with the wishy-washing already a.k.a po po ma ma. Don't you know, girls just want to be saved, not negotiated?
  • Girls, what's up with the whining - for goodness sake, stop giving us a bad name.

Despite all the above we feel, really, we don't hate men - in fact, we love 'em. Hell, that's probably our problem.
